Water Changes How Many Gallons

Water Changes are recommended to prevent build-up of treatment chemicals, salts, etc. But remember, if you use a buffer or salt, their concentrations will also be reduced!

The following table shows residual concentrations as a function of water changes. To use the table look down to the number of water changes, and then across to the % change made each time. For instance, if you have made 5 water changes of 15% each, you have reduced the original concentrations to a residual of 44.4%.
